As per their obligations under the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) Program<\/strong>, private refugee sponsoring groups (Groups of Five, Community Sponsors, and Sponsorship Agreement Holders) are responsible for helping the newcomers they sponsored with accessing settlement support and relevant health care services.<\/p>\n

During this virtual info session, sponsors in BC will learn about:<\/strong>
\n> Their Post-Arrival Responsibilities
\n> The Interim Federal Health Program
\n> The Medical Services Plan (BC)
\n> The Health Connect Registry
\n> The various organizations that can provide support with health care (medical\/dental) and parenthood (focus on Lower Mainland BC).<\/p>\n

As an added benefit, we’ve also invited representatives from the following organizations<\/strong> (based in the Metro Vancouver\/Lower Mainland BC area) who will share more details about their services and how they are beneficial to sponsors and PSR newcomers:
\n> Mosaic Community Clinic (MCC)
\n> Mothers Matter Canada (HIPPY Program)<\/p>\n
